At the wind-facing front _x000D_panel, we used our NEOS Ultra textile—a lightweight 2L softshell with PU bonded _x000D_membrane that’s water-resistant and 100% windproof—to ensure this _x000D_element-facing section of your upper body remains fully protected from snow, _x000D_rain, road spray, biting winds, and low temperatures. We then turned up the _x000D_heat by mating this Ultra membrane with our highly insulating, breathable _x000D_brushed RX, ensuring your core remains dry and warm. NEOS Light was added to _x000D_the tops of the arms and shoulders, with a light brushed treatment on the _x000D_interior for added protection and comfort.
By strategically applying two types of NEOS _x000D_membranes to the Ultraz, we’ve ensured you get the right amount of protection _x000D_where you need it, while simultaneously maintaining breathability and _x000D_increasing weight-savings throughout. The position our bodies take on the _x000D_bike—combined with the intended riding conditions—inform these material _x000D_selections, which is why you’ll notice breathable paneling on the undersides of _x000D_the arms and back.
